IONPA's battery produces an extraordinarily small, subtle flow of negative ions that emit from the tips of the brush bristles. The ion flow interrupts the active bond between bacteria-fostering plaque and teeth, making plaque easier to remove.
Sure! IONPA enhances plaque removal through ionic action in plaque-prone areas that are hard to reach with a toothbrush.
Absolutely! The total current is 10~50 microamperes. It’s impossible for human beings to detect anything under at least 500 times that. IONPA is perfectly safe for everyone in your family!
None whatsoever. The current in the battery is so minuscule (10~50 microamps) as to be virtually undetectable. We would always encourage anyone, as a matter of course, to consult with their doctor before embarking on any sort of new health or personal care regimen.
About your concern, yes! It will perform an ionic effect. We recommend touching your daughter's cheek or holding her hand while you are brushing her teeth. For maximum ionic effect, slightly wet your hand before holding the metal conductor plate on your IONPA's handle. Please talk to your daughter while brushing her teeth so the brushing time can be stored in her mind as a good memory. We believe this physical and verbal contact can help teach kids good dental hygiene and communication with their parents.
No, the ionic effect will not invalidate the toothpaste you are using. You can enjoy the efficacy of toothpaste while using ionic power.
A circuit within the IONPA generates negative ions even when the power is not turned on. In other words, the ionic toothbrush works even when the power is not turned on. You can use it like a regular toothbrush but with an ionic effect as long as battery life remains. However, we recommend turning on the power, so the sonic action combines with the ionic effect to give you excellent plaque removal.

Tip: If the brush head and metal rod seem stuck, it could be due to dry toothpaste. Try soaking both parts in warm water for a while and then attempt to separate them.
Yes, the plug adapter of our rechargeable electric toothbrush, the "IONPA home DP-111PW/NB," is compatible with a voltage range of 100-240V.
The Brush Head Life-Timer function can be reset by holding down the “Power” and “Mode Selector” buttons for more than 2 seconds.
Clean mode: approx. 22,000 strokes per minute. This everyday mode addresses all matters of oral hygiene like any toothbrush, but with the added advantage of sonic power.
White+ mode: approx. 26,000 strokes per minute, for when you wish to give special attention to eliminating surface stains.
Gumcare mode: In addition to polishing teeth, this mode provides gentle, massaging stimulation to the gums.
HiClean mode: Slightly more vigorous, to get at plaque deep in the recesses between teeth.
If you wish to stay with one mode, choose the Clean mode. This can easily fit with the rest of your oral health care routine.
Yes, you can use the brush heads from Dr. Tung, HyG and IONIC KISS on any IONPA electric toothbrush.
However if you attach a replacement brush head other than DM Brush Head on IONPA DM, it will not fit in the cap. If you'd like to use the IONPA DM with travel cap, please use DM Brush Head.
Results vary from person to person. Many users report a new feeling of cleanliness after several brushings. (This is particularly noticeable for smokers.) Your dentist may mention that your teeth look smoother and cleaner, with less tartar and calculus and need for scraping and scaling at your dental checkup.
You can if you wish. IONPA works with the saliva in your mouth, so it’s not necessary. But if you enjoy using toothpaste, use just enough for flavor. You’ll save money on toothpaste while getting your teeth cleaner.
Lithium-ion batteries have a theoretical lifespan of more than 10 years, so IONPA DP's battery should last at least 7 years. However, when it comes to the end of battery life, it is not replaceable and, unfortunately, will no longer be useable.

Our policy extends 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If you are eligible to return equipment you can contact us to request an RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization). Please see the Return & Refund Policy page for more info.
We stand behind our products. Each IONPA toothbrush product that is manufactured by IONIC and purchased directly from MYIONPA or MYIONPA's authorized retailers is covered by a one year limited warranty. We provide a one-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase for all IONPA products except for replacement brush heads. If you believe you have received a defective product, or are experiencing any problems with your product, please submit your request on Product Support Form.
